Bali – Pictures Part I

Howdy Cowboys! Hope you all had a great Easter lunch and/or chocolate egg scavenger hunt! I’m heading out to have an Easter brunch with the in-laws, cant wait to see their dog Louis again 😀 Also found some more pictures of Bali on my camera and just wanted to share 😉

Holidays always makes me a little bit too conscious that I have absolutely no idea (okay, I might have a slight idea..) why we have these days off.. You tell me, why do we celebrate Easter? And no google-ing!

Bali – Pictures Part I

Having a drink at W hotel || Chilling at Kudeta || Seminyak || Rice fields || Vulcano || Super Tourist || Ungasan Beach (perhaps the prettiest beach I’ve ever been, totally worth the entrance fee) || Best. Burger. Ever!

Somehow uploading of these pictures have taken WAY too long! It feels like a life time away that the boyfriend and I were on our little trip away from all distraction! We ended our trip in Bali and godamn I could go back there instantly! Even though I expected Bali in general would have been cheaper it was really nice to just do absolutely nothing (I read 5 books in 10 days, whenever do you have time for that in real life?!).

Nikoi Island – Pictures Part I

A bit later than expected, since last week has been crazy with travelling back home and working, the pictures of Nikoi! Looking at them makes me wanna take a plane back there again, it is SUCH a beautiful place it’s really more than you can comprehend! The boyfriend and I really didn’t do the island any justice with the rather crappy pictures we made! The new picture in the banner was also made at Nikoi 😀 I would really recommend this place for just some days of chilling – every watersport you can think of you can do over here, you have an amazing pool (with a view over the ocean), and the vila itself is worth staying “inside”. The thing the boyfriend and I liked a LOT is that they are really good in separate couples from guests with children! There’s a separate dining space for the kids and the island is big enough to never be bothered by them!

The weather has been amazing today overhere, so the boyfriend and I are gonna have a nice glas of sparklin anything outside now!

Nikoi Island – Heaven on Earth

When my friend S. told me she went to this little island called Nikoi and described how amazing her stay was I knew I HAD to go there too. Nikoi is a 15 hectare private island 8km off the east coast of Bintan, Indonesia and located less than 85km from Singapore. After some sessions of persuading the boyfriend, he finally gave in to going there – even though it would cut a major part out of our budget and means more travelling around Asia (while our main goal was just to relax).

But I sure did enjoyed our stay there! It has been, BY FAR, the prettiest place I have ever been to in my life! It has about 20 private villa’s and OH MY GOD how pretty where they! We had outdoor showers, a private part of the beach incl. a gazebo where we got massages and the soothing sound of the ocean to fall asleep to.

“It is ringed with white sandy beaches and coral reefs of spectacular colour and diversity and a coastline studded with magnificent white granite boulders that seemingly defy gravity. Rising to a height of 30m, the island also boasts a rain forest where colossal trees, including native Banyan trees, provide a sanctuary to a diverse population of local birds.”

Everyday the excellent chefs made us an amazing breakfast, wonderful lunch and a to die for dinner all in traditional Indonesian style! Unfortunately I forgot my SD card today, but I really wanted to share this place with you today. So I stole some pictures of their website to show you guys! I will post some of my own pictures tomorrow 😀
