With the seasons changing, I find it important to change my skin routine as well. The heavy winter moisturizers are just not a nice combo with sun shine – we don’t want to look like we deep frie burgers as morning exercise!
I switched to a, for me, new brand called Sampar which is available at Sephora (pretty much every beauty need you ever will encounter is available at Sephora..) and is priced between drugstore and high-end in. Sampar makes innovative products for the city gawl and this is what actually attracts me to the brand: they don’t only have the regular cleanser and moisturizer but also really effective peelings and cosmakeup (“blurring the lines between skin care and make up). So after this promise I started testing!
The following products all make use of the Urban Advance Complex, which is claimed to be a powerful alliance of 3 active ingredients (shea butter serum, mint endorphin and probiotic sugar), acts as an anti-oxidant shield, neutralizing any cutaneous imbalances linked to pollution, strengthens the skin’s natural defenses and shocks the skin back to life on a cellular level.
Let’s start with the cleanser: Daily Dose Foaming Cleanser. It actually doesn’t foam as much as the name would suggest but it works perfect together with my Clarisonic (which I will review in another post!). It is a gentil, milky cleanser and it smells like rose garden meets pharmacy, I think it’s a sense you have to get use to it, but I like it – it seems to calm down my skin. The showpiece of the producte, as you can see on their website, are the essential oils (cinnamon, lavender, savory, thyme, oregano, rosemary, cloves and sage) which eliminate toxins and soothe the skin, however when we review the ingredients list on the back of the tube you can see that most the oils are all the way in the back of the list which means that these ingredients are represented the least.
Sampar’s Daily Dose Foaming Cleanser costs 20 euro or 160 DKK for 125 ml.
Next product to review is the Skin Quenching Mist. On their website they advice you to mist the spray directly on your face in the morning and in the evening. However, I like it better to spray 10 pumps onto a cotton pad and than apply it to my face. Because of that, I also don’t prefer a spray packaging, I would have liked a normal bottle better. The mist also has the rose garden/pharmacy smell, they are quite consisted regarding the smell, and is just like the cleanser gentil. This product doesn’t seems to do anything special for me, but I like to use my skin products from the same brand.
Sampar’s Skin Quenching Mist costs 29 euro or 225 DKK for 200 ml.
The last product is the moisturizer, which I absolutely ADORE! The Barely There Moisture Fluid is an absolute winner for the Summer! It is an extremely light moisturizer, which makes the skin hydrated and shine-free all day long.
Sampar’s Barely There Moistre Fluid costs 31 euro or 250 DKK for 50 ml.
– Extremely gentil skincare

– Aimed for a skin that has to endure city stress
– Peculiar scent (you either love it or you hate it)
– Toner is packaged inconveniently
