During the last month I had the opportunity to visit Stockholm twice, both for leisure and business. I have written about my first running experience here. Reading it back and my statement about there not being any progress with my running, I now realize I’m just not a Summer runner at all. Since the “R” is back in the month, I find it a lot easier to put on my running shoes for longer or shorter distances. I guess, in the Summer I just think that there are a lot more other fun things to do than run around in my own sweat for a while…
But besides the running experience, I haven’t really blogged about the city at all. And why not, because Stockholm is pretty darn cool!! It’s a lot bigger and (do I dare to say..) prettier than Copenhagen is, the people dress even better and the girls are even blonder. Södermalm might be my favorite district, it’s a bit like Vesterbro in Copenhagen I think.
The delicious picture here are made by Simona in a fantastic restaurant/deli/bar/supermarket/etc place called Urban Deli and honestly I could have just stayed there, move into their office and live there for the rest of my life. They sell pretty much everything a foodie desires and their restaurant is also pretty darn good.
So my second visit to Stockholm was for work (you have no idea, how nice it is to be able to say something like that!), I ran the 10K ladies run (Tjejmilen) and this was also a crazy experience. 35.000 girls on the road running, yes running is thát big in Sweden. Unfortunately I didn’t make any pictures, but I “stole” the picture below from Girlslove2run. It pretty much sums up my weekend in Stockholm: meeting new people, enjoy good food (we ended up at Urban Deli again) and wine to end the night with some dancing.

I can feel I really start “enjoying” to run again but I need some goals to run to. Do you guys have any recommendations for runs? Perhaps even a half marathon…
